2009
Well
2008 has come and gone and there were a lot of
ups and downs for us but we are looking forward
to this year and have a few things to say about
the past year.
First
I would like to congratulate Beverli Rhodes. Our
beloved mare PP Chips Tommy Girl was sold to this
wonderful lady overseas in the summer and she
now resides in Jolly Old England. The best part
she has a web cam in her stall at her very posh
stable and we can look in on her anytime.
Also
Joanie Miskovich of Armstrong purchased our wonderful
little gelding Socks Up To My Zippo aka Raymond
in the fall and has asked to be included in this
years lesson program and I am so looking forward
to that.
Next
I would like to congratulate Barb Hazel and her
fantastic little mare Sophie for their great wins
and placings at the fall AQHA/APHA show.
Also
I hear Congrats go out to another new student
of mine Rhonda Kopp. This lady came to me in the
summer with a lovely mare Taylor who had more
than her share of problems. Well with a bunch
of patience and lots of time it seems Rhonda has
changed all those bad habits into good ones and
went on to become Reserve High Point at the fall
show. I hear she is now being asked to do a write
up for this wonderful new horse of hers for the
AQHA. She wrote and told me she now feels that
Taylor came to her because they both need something,
she needed confidence and Taylor need understanding
and it seems they both got what they needed. I
look forward to continuing our lessons this summer.
Alexia
did pretty well this summer with her new horse
Mannie. They came away with a buckle and a reserve
high point at Zones and they did very well at
some of the open shows here as well taking home
some wonderful prizes. I can’t wait for them to
get back to it this year as this horse is really
the horse love of Alis life. Ali also had a wonderful
time at the Paint world show. She competed on
team Canada and we came away with the Silver medal.
Cristie Voth is also super excited about riding
Andy and she is just now starting him should be
a good year for them as well. I am hoping to find
the time to show my new filly A Zippo Maid Of
Diamonds in some lunge line classes.
It
looks like I will be pretty busy with lessons
this year and cant wait to see how all my returning
students are doing and excited to get going with
all the new ones. I hope everyone in the paint
world here and in Alberta are well and hope to
see you this year. Colleen Hazeldine
